    Dooks Golf Club, Dooks, Glenbeigh (066 9768205). Dooks, an 18 holes links course, is one of the oldest links courses in Ireland and is located just 4 miles from Glenbeigh offering spectacular views over Dooks, Rossbeigh and Dingle Bay.

    Killarney Golf & Fishing Club, Mahony's Point, Killorglin Road, Killarney (064 31034). The Killarney Golf and Fishing club boasts three world-class 18 holes parkland courses:- Killeen Course, Mahony's Point and Lackabane. The Killeen Course will host the 2010 Irish Open from 29 July to 1 August 2010.

    Derrynane Sea Sports is a family-run business, offering sail boats for hire and sailing lessons, wind-surfing hire and tuition, open mould recreational canoes, body-boarding and snorkelling. They also provide water-skiing, wake-boarding and knee-boarding (066 9475266).

    Cycling

    Go Ireland specialises in cycling holidays along the West Coast of Ireland, for small groups with experienced local guides (066 9762094).

    Fishing

    The Glenbeigh area boasts several excellent salmon and brown trout fishing rivers and lakes:- Caragh Lake, River Caragh, River Behy and River Laune.

    Daily fishing permits for Caragh River are available from the Caragh Bridge Angling Club, c/o the Red Fox Inn, Glenbeigh Road, Caragh Lake (066 9769184) or from the Water Keeper, Mr Kevin Donovan (087 9495488).

    Sea-Angling

    The Irish Central Fisheries Board provides a list of Sea Angling Charter Boats for hire in the Kerry region, including trips to the Skellig Islands.

    Sea Angling can be enjoyed locally in Castlemaine Harbour with Dominic Spencer at Kerry Sea Fishing (087 2312366).

    Glenbeigh Festival - Horse-racing is held each August on Rossbeigh Strand. The annual Glenbeigh Race Festival is now one of the biggest race meetings on the Horse and Pony Racing Calendar.

    Kerry Bog Village Museum, The Red Fox Inn, Glenbeigh, Co. Kerry (066 9769184). The Kerry Bog Village Museum located on the beautiful 'Ring of Kerry', gives people an insight into how people lived and worked in Ireland in the 18th Century.

    Cromane Sea Fest - A series of concert gigs at Jack's Coastguard Station, Cromane, featuring Mary Black (23 July 2010), Paul Brady (24 July 2010) and the Republic of Loose (25 July 2010), in aid of the Emly Ward Special Care Baby Unit 'Baby Ventilator Fund' at Kerry General Hospital.

    The Skellig Experience, Valentia Island, Co. Kerry (066 9476306), where you can experience many aspects of those offshore Skellig islands while remaining on the dry land, in a custom built, stone clad, grass roofed, prize winning building located beside the Valentia Island bridge.
